One of the most frequently asked questions in relation to young puppies, is how to potty train a puppy. When should I start to potty training puppies, or, when I first potty train a puppy – will it understand?
It is never a good idea to buy a puppy that is less than 8 weeks to 10 weeks of age. You should be wary of any breeder who tries to sell you a puppy earlier.

Canines, by their very nature, are exceptionally clean in respect to their sleeping area, which makes it rather easy to potty training puppies quickly.
When you potty train a puppy, it is not about the puppy’s age, but is related to the puppy’s maturity. To potty training puppies from a larger breed will take more time to mature than a small breed dog. It is imperative that you keep in mind that when you try to potty training puppies, different puppies from the same litter will understand potty training quicker or slower than the others.
In order to avoid accidents when you potty train a puppy, it is recommended that the owner accompanies the puppy outside: whenever they wake up from sleep, after they have played for 10 minutes, about 15 minutes after they have eaten, and whenever you notice them being abnormally inquisitive. To potty training puppies effectively, the owner must accompany the puppy outside, and praise it enthusiastically once the task has been completed successfully.

As with all puppy training, when you potty train a puppy, always enthusiastically praise and reward your puppy when they demonstrate the behavior you desire. Potty training will only succeed when your puppy understands what truly makes master happy.
